AIAB Music Assembled by Jaybee - 23/03/01 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ NB: This archive was intended for use with the AIAB archives! Whats It All About.....now? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ By fairly popular demand, here is an AIAB upgrade dedicated to Amiga Music applications. Over the years, the Amiga boasted some of the best music on any home computer - even today, its crusty 8bit sound chip, Paula, can still chuck out some pretty smooth grooves. Anyway, heres a nice little package featuring just a few of the many Amiga music tools, which can be used to create, rip and of course playback the tracks. Included in this archive youll find the following Amiga music tools: OctaMED V5 - Nice tracker prog. Okay, it might be showing its age somewhat, but this tool can still hold its own amongst the 16bit PC boys. Did you know the "Chemical Brothers" started out using OctaMED? ExoticRipper - Dont fancy making your own music? Well why not rip someone elses? This superb tool can rip the music from practically anything, and is considered as 'simply the best' in the Amiga community. EaglePlayer - Arguably the best music player ever written - and that includes WinAMP! EaglePlayer is arguably more popular than DeliTracker, and englines and players for hundreds of different MOD types, it can even load MPEG layer3 audio*, and use WinAMP skins* [requires extra tools, found on Aminet] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- History: ~~~~~~~ v1.1 - Added icon switching functionality, introduced in AIABr10. Had a go at upgrading Octamed.v5 to SoundStudio, but decided I couldn't be arsed. v1.0 - Initial release. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installation ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Just extract this zipfile to exactly the same place you extracted the first AIAB-2000.zip file, overwriting any files when prompted. Simple, huh? No? Well okay, imagine AIAB is installed in C:\WinUAE, you would have to extract this archive to C:\ Cya! James Maurice Battle - jaybee@aiab.freeserve.co.uk - http://aiab.emuunlim.com
