AIAB MegaLoMania Assembled by Jaybee - 20th October '99 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ NB: This archive was intended for use with the AIAB-2000 r5 archive! Whats It All About? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ By ludicrously high demand, (were talking lots of emails here people!), I've decided to put MegaLoMania back on the AIAB site. Why? Well, I've spent over six months emailing software publishers, developers, in a bid to make this classic available to all UAE fans. Now, I'm not 100% certain, but I'm pretty sure that MegaLoMania was re-released by Ubisoft, a kind firm, who have allowed me to use any of thier Amiga games on the AIAB site. For this reason its back on the AIAB site, available for all enjoy. *If I receive any emails from companies requesting me to remove it, I will do so.* Anyway, I'm sure everyone's heard of MegaLoMania - a splendid strategy/wargame, thats easy to pick up, yet complicatd enough to remain challenging. When I first played this game, er, several years ago (!) I was amazed at the sampled speech - it seemed to be endless, yet the quality sooooo crisp. The four gods all had thier speech - one even sounded camp! I can't rate this game highly enough - even today, it still has that infectiousness that makes me load it up every so often, bringing the nostalgia flooding back. Many people thought that this game was incompatible with UAE. Well, think again - here it is loading fully from harddrive, (and very quickly too....no more waiting for the speech to load!) making use of a superb WHDload slave to fix any incompatibilities. Anyway, its the usual drill - just double click the icon in Workbench, and press F10 when you want to quit. AIAB Trivia: When originally made, one of the game samples had to be cut! 'Madcap', the ~~~~~~~~~~~ blue character, actually says 'No way, shit head!' but the swearing had to be taken out. Dont believe me? Listen to the sample in WinUAE\Docs\ ! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installation ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Just extract this zipfile to exactly the same place you extracted the first AIAB-2000.zip file, overwriting any files when prompted. Simple, huh? No? Well okay, imagine AIAB is installed in C:\WinUAE, you would have to extract this archive to C:\ Cya! James Maurice Battle - jaybee@aiab.freeserve.co.uk - http://www.emuunlim.com/aiab
